The list of MagSafe chargers for iPhone is getting longer and longer. Two companies that have already made multiple MagSafe certified chargers are Mophie and Belkin. Mophie has now announced an interesting option for travelers. The Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger with MagSafe is a kind of extended version of Apple's MagSafe Duo Charger.
Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger with MagSafe
The charger consists of three components: a MagSafe charger for the iPhone, an adjustable Apple Watch charger and a Qi part for wirelessly charging your AirPods. These charging points are located next to each other and the uniqueness of this charger is that you can fold it completely into a square block, similar to Apple's MagSafe Duo charger. But where it is only intended for one iPhone and an Apple Watch, you can also charge your AirPods case with this from Mophie at the same time.
On the outside, this charger is finished with a fabric cover. The charger is officially MagSafe certified, so you can wirelessly charge an iPhone 12 and newer at the maximum speed (15W). You can therefore lay the Apple Watch charger flat, but also put it upright so that it is easier to read the time at night. The charger comes with a USB-C cable and a power adapter for the wall socket, so you're ready to go. Finally, you get a matching bag, in which you can store the charger itself, the cable and the power adapter.
Unfortunately, this charger is still from Mophie not for sale in the Netherlands, but already in the American Apple Store. There it has a retail price of $149.95. That's a lot of money, but compared to Apple's MagSafe Duo charger (with a suggested retail price of €149), you get a lot more for your money.
Belkin MagSafe Charger with Stand now on sale
At the same time, Belkin has started selling the new MagSafe charger with stand. This is also a certified MagSafe charger, which can charge at a speed of up to 15W. The unique thing about this charger is that there is a folding stand on the back of the MagSafe puck. You can therefore place your iPhone at an angle during charging, for example to watch a movie. In addition, this charger comes with an extra long 2 meter cable, which is a lot longer than Apple's own MagSafe charger. The cable is also braided.
The Belkin Boost Charge Pro portable wireless charging station with MagSafe (as the accessory is called in full), has a retail price of €59.95. That's a bit more expensive than Apple's itself, but due to the longer cable and built-in stand, it can still be worth it. You can choose a white and black version. The version that Apple itself sells is slightly different. The standard version will be available from Coolblue, among others.
