A hard lockdown has been in place in the Netherlands since mid-December 2021. That means all non-essential stores are closed. The Apple Stores are also partly participating in this. Repairs are an essential feature, so you can still make an appointment with the Genius Bar. You can also come by to pick up an order, but this is also by appointment only. All this applies to the Apple Stores in Haarlem and The Hague, because Amsterdam is temporarily closed, probably due to a COVID outbreak.

Apple Store closure FAQ
The Netherlands has a total of three official Apple Stores: Amsterdam, Haarlem and The Hague. Last year Haarlem was closed for a month because of COVID, this year Amsterdam was affected.
Access to the Apple Store has been restricted since December 19, 2021. In addition, there are adjusted opening hours: in most cases the shops are open from 09:00 to 17:00. This will remain so until January 14, 2022.
The Apple Store in Brussels is also open. You can shop there by appointment, pick up ordered products or have a repair carried out. It is not possible to schedule a shopping session for shopping by appointment in Dutch stores.
do you have any other questions? We have listed the most frequently asked questions for you, but we are of course not an official contact person for Apple. Ask the Apple Store of your choice which options are available or check the Apple website.
#1 I want to view a product in the store, is that possible?
No, the store is closed for viewing and purchasing products. So you can't just walk in to view or purchase a product. Apple Amsterdam is completely closed. At Apple Brussels it is possible to plan a shopping session, so by appointment only.
#2 I recently ordered a product online for in-store pickup. Is that still possible?
Yes, appointments made online to collect products will continue.
#3 My repaired product is ready for collection. Is that still possible?
Repaired products can be collected in the store, whether or not by appointment. Please inquire at the Apple Store.
#4 My Apple product is broken. Can I still offer it for repair at the Apple Store?
Yes, both in the store and by sending the product. Anyone can still make an appointment at the Apple Store in Haarlem, The Hague or Brussels, subject to availability.
If you prefer to visit in person, try one of the AASP's that are open.
#5 Why is the Apple Store partially open now? It's not an essential store, is it?
An exception applies to shops with repair and maintenance functions for consumer goods. As a result, you can only go to the store for repairs, technical support and the collection of items. Other stores that exclusively offer Apple repairs, so-called Apple Authorized Service Providers, are also open for both with and without an appointment. This applies, for example, to Amac, CARD Services (Utrecht and Zwolle) and LJS (in The Hague). There may be restrictions on opening hours and the amount of customers.
In our tip you can read how to make an appointment for a repair.
#6 What about other stores?
Other stores like Amac are only open for repairs. It depends on the store whether this is only possible by appointment or whether you can visit without an appointment. Inquire about this at the store.
