It was mainly about buying sexual services or attempts to buy sexual services. In addition, two men were arrested by the Norrmalm police on suspicion of procuring. They are now in custody.
About 50 of the arrests took place within the local police area Norrmalm, according to the police.
The city police also made the observation that there has been a transfer of the sex trade to nearby suburbs in the past the year.
The efforts were carried out in close collaboration with the social services. During the operations on Norrmalm and Södermalm, staff from the social administration spoke to 28 prostitutes who were offered help from Mikamottagningen, a specialist clinic for prostitution.
At the same time, about 30 men who were notified of suspicion of buying sexual services thanked. support from Stockholm's “reception for support to those who want to stop buying sex” (KAST).
During the efforts, a personal check regarding prostitution was carried out on sugar dating sites, where a 17-year-old was identified.
According to the police, the people who sold sexual services are both women and men, mainly from Eastern Europe and Latin America. All buyers were men.
Other crimes that were discovered during the operations included drug crimes and violations of the Aliens Act, according to the police.
