Fria Tider reported on Monday about the indictment against the 21-year-old man who aimed a gun at Ilmar Reepalu.

The former S-tall was threatened through the window of his home in Malmö when he was to document a violent gun drama that was going on outside.

– One of the men ran around with a stick, the other had a gun that he fired with. They were very aggressive and there was a lot of screaming, says Ilmar Reepalu to Sydsvenskan.

In the police preliminary investigation, Reepalu's photos from the incident are found, and it appears that he managed to take pictures of the perpetrator while he aimed the gun at him. <./p>

Ilmar Reepalu has bulletproof glass in the window, he states himself in a police interrogation.

– If I did not know that I was behind bulletproof glass, I would have been scared. Since I know that the glass is bulletproof, I dared to pick up my mobile and take photos, which I would not have done otherwise, he says.

Reepalu further states that he did not have time to get scared,

– But it was an unpleasant situation of course. I made eye contact with the man holding the gun and that he was pointing a weapon at me and therefore I thought the situation was very unpleasant. Everything went very fast so I did not have time to think much.

Ilmar Reepalu was chairman of the municipal board in Malmö between the years 1994 and 2013.
