The voice conference software TeamSpeak, which is particularly popular with gamers, is now also available in the latest version 5.0.0 Beta in the new Windows 11 Microsoft Store. After only the older UWP app version 3.5.7 was offered under Windows 10, it is now a full-fledged Win32 application.

Microsoft relies on more Win32 applications

Microsoft is thus continuing the path taken with Windows 11 and will in future also be relying more consistently on Win32 applications such as Discord and now TeamSpeak. As the website Deskmodder.de reports, the in-house groupware solution Microsoft Teams for chats, meetings, notes and attachments will also be offered promptly via the new Microsoft Store. Overall, the new store, which will at least initially be offered exclusively for Windows 11, should become even more modern and open. Under Windows 10, however, many of the well-known applications are only available as UWP apps or not at all.
