Mozilla puts Firefox 6.0 is already online

A few days before the release of Firefox 6.0, Mozilla has the new version already on the servers. Internet users can this all work with the latest version of the browser, which is significantly faster than its predecessors.

The official release of Firefox 6.0 is scheduled for 16 August, but Mozilla has – now the work is completed – the new version already on his ftp-server. There can be a version for Windows, Mac and Linux can be downloaded. Now, it is only the English version available and there are no localized versions released.

The release notes of the latest version of Firefox, are not yet published. However, there is already a list of bug fixes published when the beta release of version 6.0 was released. Despite that this list is comprehensive, there are no major differences between version 5.0 and 6.0.

In version 6.0 is the identiteitsknop in the url bar cosmetically slightly modified and the domain name in the url highlighted. Also, Mozilla has the Add-ons Manager easier to use. From version 6.0 is the status of a plugin directly from the manager visible and plugins are installed.

For developers, Mozilla has also some innovations have been implemented. Thus under the other Scratchpad, it’s now by default integrated in the browser. With these former add-on enables users to run JavaScript code in the browser test. Scratchpad can be accessed via the Web Developer menu item in the browser, the users also provides access to the debugtool Web Console.

Finally, version 6.0 features a revamped Permission Manager. With this control feature, which is to call by typing about:permissions in the address bar to type, a user can determine which information specific websites are allowed to consult. Thus, there can be per site distinction has to be made whether or not to access such location data and cookies.
