Economics. The number of jobs outside the agricultural sector in the US increased in July by 943,000 people, according to figures today. Expectations were for 870,000 new jobs, according to a Reuters poll.

Unemployment fell to 5.4 percent in July, from 5.9 percent the month before. Here, expectations were on average 5.7 percent.
The stock market week in Stockholm, however, ends in the red despite the news. By 15 o'clock, the OMXS index had fallen by 0.7 percent and the OMXS30 had lost 0.5 percent.
Gold fell 1.6 percent after the report.
