Long March 5B was launched on April 29 this year with the first module in China's upcoming space station “Heavenly Palace” on board.

After the module was successfully placed in orbit around the earth, however, they lost Chinese rocket engineers control the rocket. It then began to tumble around in an uncontrolled orbit around the earth.

The rocket is expected to re-enter the earth's atmosphere over the weekend and then crash on the earth. Even if most of the rocket burns into the atmosphere, there is a risk that some more massive parts of the rocket engines will not.

Experts from all over the world therefore closely monitor the Chinese rocket to see if it is likely to hit somewhat populated area. According to the EU SST, due to the rocket's orbit around the earth, there is a small risk of the rocket hitting southern Europe.

According to the latest estimates, the rocket will re-enter the Earth's atmosphere between Saturday afternoon and lunchtime on Sunday. There is still great uncertainty about the exact time when the Chinese rocket will crash with the earth.
