Johnson’s Brexit Deal on a knife-edge

It will be tight, but after some opposition MP Boris Johnson’s Brexit would like to support the Deal, he could win the vote in the lower house. At the same time, a vote on a new extension.

Some journalists in London, led an old-fashioned bar lists, other produced on their Laptops, pie charts or Excel tables: throughout Friday edited Boris Johnson’s aides in the conservative house group, and his lieutenants from Downing Street, MPs from the around 60 heads strong rebel army, which is made out of thrown-out Conservative and independent members. Others took care of dissenters in the Labour Party and tried to convince them that the Deal made by the Prime Minister would be better than a “No-Deal”.

It is scarce, very scarce

“There is no better result” than what he got from Brussels brought, summoned Boris Johnson in the evening in Interview to the British television audience, and the deputies in the lower house. If on Saturday evening the agreement, the consent of the Parliament have received, then you can deal with other things, and the vexing issue behind. With this Argument he’s been trying since he took office, public opinion on his side to pull out. And in fact, he hits, according to surveys, the mood of many Britons.

The majority of members in this house know, however, that after the Brexit nothing is done, but the negotiations with the EU really about to begin. Some of the front lines in the house are not clear, because the Opposition Labour Party, Scottish, SNP and the liberals will vote against it. Boris Johnson, envisages the future relationship with the EU for a bare Minimum of in the near future, plan a race to the bottom in the protection of rights for workers, the environment or consumers, so their Argument goes.

It is not the case for Brexit Deal: Arlene Foster, Chairman of the Northern Irish DUP

The Northern Irish DUP – angry because the Prime Minister has sacrificed their sacrosanct unity with the United Kingdom – wants to say no. Boris Johnson has, in turn, around 260 loyalists in his Conservative, but needs to be 320 votes to the majority. He wants to win, you must vote in all 20 Tory MPs, who he had thrown out of the party, for him now. Many have come out of the Deal, while others agree but, as earlier, Finance Minister Philip Hammond want to only if Johnson gives further assurances that he would not seek hard Leaving through the back door.

A hard Brexit threatens through the back door?

At this point a new front line between the Tory hard-liners and moderate Tories opened, namely,. On the Morning of ore-Brexiteer John Baron in the TV, had declared in an Interview, he had received assurances from Ministers that the government is going to leave with a hard-Brexit the end of 2020, the transition period, if there is no trade agreement. Anyway, you don’t have the intention to ask the EU for an extension. And according to previous experiences, it seems almost ruled out, as quickly a trade agreement with great Britain complete, because it requires lengthy detailed negotiations.

The Three of the Brexit Department: Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and Johnson adviser Dominic Cummings

With such a promise of a hard Brexit with a delay Minister to Michael Gove attempt to lure the so-called “Spartan”, so those hard-liners that Johnson’s Deal is not like that because of Northern Ireland and other compromises. He needs all of its 30 or so votes, if he wants to win the vote. But at the same time Johnson in the evening promised at the BBC, he is seeking a race to the bottom.

Mathematics and procedures tricks

The government is on the way and tells everybody what he wants to hear. Of which in turn fashion are startled rates to get it now – how Hammond – concerns. On the other hand, ten Labour MPs came out of the closet, who want to vote for the exit agreement, the government had on Friday evening. You think this Deal is better than none, or represented constituencies that had voted in favour of exiting the EU, and, therefore, have to fear for their re-election. If nobody thought of the night is different and the calculations are correct, could it be enough for the vote to an extremely narrow majority of one or two votes. But nothing is for sure.

Resistance to Johnson’s Brexit Deal

Until the last Moment, the Attempts to bring additional votes to Boris Johnson’s train Derailment ran. The conservative MP Oliver Letwin, the biggest Fox among the process experts in the house of Commons, has a vote on the agenda that he wants to press the Prime Minister for a further extension. He does not speak of a “insurance, that we dash out due to problems with the necessary legislation, nor by chance (without a contract from the EU)”. It seemed to be at the end of the day, quite a lot of encouragement; some members see the Chance for a further period of time before the door slams with the Brexit. The opposition Labour Party will probably vote for this amendment, which increases the Chance of a further extension and new elections.

From Brussels, this group had on Friday did not help. On the contrary, The Irish Premier Leo Varadkar said at the end of the summit in Brussels that they wanted no further extension is possible, but a controlled exit of the British. Similarly, the French President, Emmanuel Macron, the calls for some time to bring the Brexit, finally, behind and to get the poisoned issue from the table of the EU.

However, the government would agree to the heads of an extension then, there is a Consensus about when the decides to the lower house for new elections, or a second Referendum.

Mass demonstration against the Brexit

While inside, the deputies decide on their destiny, will take place on the streets of London, a further large demonstration against the Brexit. The participants want to come up with 170 coaches from across the UK; the organisers expect around one Million participants. The second man of the Labour Party, John McDonnell, will speak, and the demand of the protesters after a second Referendum support. Actors, writers and TV stars want to either occur, or have supported the Demo with donations. It could possibly be the last gasp of the cosmopolitan great Britain before the Brexit and at the end of the day to a funeral.
