“Asus introduces passively cooled mini-pc”

Asus has a thin thin-client released passively cooled. The Asus E210 contains a housing, which closely resembles that of a previously-announced Eee Box, but the system is mainly on the business market focus. There is Celeron N2807-dual-core.

The Asus E210 is a mini-pc with an Intel Bay Trail-dualcore, 4GB ram and up to 128GB ssd storage, saw Lilliputing. The system has hdmi, vga, ethernet, card reader and support for wifi-n. Also, there are three usb 2.0 ports and a usb 3.0 variant. The thickness is 29mm and the other dimensions are 219×172,5mm, with a weight of 0.69 pounds. Asus provides the E210 optional Windows Embedded 8, or 7 Standard, or a not specified ‘DOS’.

The system is similar to the Eee Box EB1037, which is Asus at the beginning of this year announced. Also that system would be according to the initial announcement passively cooled, but at launch turned out to be the Eee Box still a fan. That model had an Nvidia Geforce 820M on board and was on the consumer market-oriented. The E210 is for the business and industrial market and lacks the Nvidia gpu. The mini-pc is still not in Dutch webshops have appeared and the price is still unknown.
