Microsoft has the option, within applications to make purchases deleted from Windows Phone Mango. The function would initially be built, but to the disappointment of some of the developers that happens now anyway.
The function was on the list for Mango, but did not make the cut, according to Microsoft employee Todd Brix in a comment on the Windows Phone Team Blog. Probably could Microsoft the functionality is not able to finish. Windows Phone Mango coming in september or October on the devices, so the complete code should be around this time to manufacturers to be sent.
Microsoft has the feature, long in the planning, as was evident from a session at the Microsoft Gamefest. Presumably in-app purchases in a next version of Windows Phone. Microsoft will probably want at least a major update of the system per year will release.
On the other major platforms are in-app-purchases are already possible. Apple built the function last year, while Google it since this spring offers. In-app purchases can be used to in games, additional levels or tools to ‘buy’. The checkout happens via the downloadwinkel itself.
Although Windows Phone up to now no large share of the market has managed to tackle, there are a lot of developers started to create apps. Are now more than 25,000 apps available in the Windows Phone Marketplace.
Microsoft released Windows Phone in October last year. The Dutch version is coming this fall. Supposedly there are also new devices with Windows Phone from HTC, Samsung and LG. Also ZTE, Fujitsu, and Nokia Windows Phones.
