Telenet is the prices for cable and internet subscriptions increase. The Belgian provider says that the increase is based is on the rise in the index for consumer prices, which also Telenet’s cost would be increased.
The increase of the hotel internet rates will apply to sixty percent of the internet subscribers of Telenet and enter by August 16, 2011. The company clarified not increase exactly apply, but it was going to be an increase of an average of 3,04 percent, or 1,19 euro per month. The prices of the new Basic Internet, Fibernet and Fibernet XL-subscriptions would, in any case, not rise.
The prices of the televisieabonnementen of Telenet from 9 October with an average of 4.2 percent increased, which would result in an actual increase of up to eur 0.55. Telenet also writes this increase to the rise in the prices of goods and services in Belgium.
On top of that increase, however, is still a surcharge resulting from the increase of the copyrights, Telenet is charged. This surcharge would be in Flanders, up to 0.25 euro relate to, while the surcharge in Brussels up to 1,17 euros amounts.
