After nine years in space flight and the completion of a staggering 4.8 billion kilometres, the space probe New Horizons past Pluto flown. Of them are already lots of photos shown, but NASA now has an animated video released in which the surface is to see.

The crisp pictures that New Horizons took, in the last days everywhere. It provided us on earth a glimpse into how the distant dwarf planet in the farthest corner of our solar system there ‘ actually looks like, which is something astronomers previously only been able to guess. In addition to photos NASA has now also a video released in which is easy to see how Pluto, from above, looks like.

The video should be borne that this is not directly coming from the New Horizons camera, but that it comes to an animation that is created on the basis of the images that the spacecraft has made. Nevertheless, he gives a good picture of the icebergs that are on Pluto, just as the ijssteppe Sputnik.

In the future we can have more images expect of the distant dwarf planet. It will take until next year until all of the radio signals from the New Horizons images arrive.
