Samsung brings in 2014 reportedly a Chromebook with a Exynos 5 Octa 5420-soc and a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. Also would the model, 3GB of ram and there would be variants with a ssd of 32GB appear.

Samsung currently has a Chromebook on the market with their own soc: the Chromebook XE303 with an Exynos 5250-dual-core. The company is working on a successor of this laptop with Exynos 5 Octa 5420-quadcore, claims to Business Korea. Samsung announced this soc mid-2013. It is a chip based on ARM’s big.Little concept with four Cortex A15 cores at 1.8 GHz for heavy calculating, and four Cortex A7 core chip working at 1.3 GHz for less intensive tasks. The gpu is the Mali T628 in a setup with six cores.

Furthermore, would the Chromebook on a screen with a diagonal of 12 inches or less and a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. There would be 3GB of memory and there are models with ssd of 16GB or 32GB. Further mention is made of the presence of a usb 3.0 port, a weight of 1 kilogram and a battery life of at least seven hours. The price would be between 250 and 300 dollars. Samsung is not in the reporting, but makes clear that the company no laptop at the consumer electronics show CES in early January will reveal.
