Tuesday is ING again hit by a ddos attack, causing the website for online banking and mobile apps problems encountered. This time the attack was, however, within twenty minutes chopped off. Now would internet banking better to work.

Around half past eleven in the evening on Tuesday it was ING again hit by a ddos attack, making internet banking ‘limited use’ was made. Last Friday, that happened already, but this time it clears the bank the attack fairly quickly to save: within twenty minutes the systems were largely online. Past Friday the online-services of ING by the ddos for hours unreachable, and earlier on Tuesday met with internet banking from ING also all problems.

ING spokesman Marc Smulders wants from the point of view of safety not in too much detail about the attack. “Now it goes generally well,” says Smulders. However, the bank has taken steps so users can have some difficulty in reaching the website. “These measures go at the expense of accessibility,” says Smulders. He says that it is not yet clear in which corner the attackers should be sought.

So far as known, there are no other banks affected by the attack. AlleStoringen reports Tuesday afternoon and evening, however, an increase in the number of complaints about the accessibility of iDeal also in combination with other banks than ING. Last Friday was also iDeal offline by a ddos attack, but it is unknown whether this is also the case.
