Intel is reportedly with three fuel-efficient new Ivy Bridge processors for ultrabooks, in addition to the three models previously on a roadmap emerged. It is a new Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 with a tdp of 17W.
Intel would be the ultra low voltage processors to release under the order no. Core i3-3217U, Core i5-3317U and Core i7-3517U, claims VR-Zone. The Core i3 does not have Turbo Boost and the clock speed will remain at 1.8 GHz stitches, while the tdp at 17W. Can the clock speed be lowered to 800MHz, then the processor work extra economical and the tdp lowered to 14W.
The Core i5-3317U would at 1.7 GHz to run, but thanks to support for Turbo Boost can the clock speed be increased to 2.6 GHz at load on a single core and 2.4 GHz if two cores are working.
The Core i7-3517U finally has a baseclock of 1.9 GHz. Thanks to Turbo Boost the clock speed up to 2.4 GHz, but the chip can also at higher tdp’s than 17W work. At the maximum increase of up to 25W, clocked at up to 2.8 GHz for two cores and 3GHz for a single core. The three processors are oem-models without support for business features like Intel vPro and Intel TXT. A appeared on the internet roadmap of Intel previously made mention of the Core i5-3427U and Core i7-3667U for ultrabooks. Ivy Bridge is only in June and expect ultrabooks with the chips should then appear.
