Vodafone is experimenting with ‘telefoonautomaat’ at Schiphol airport

Provider Vodafone has launched an experiment in which users phones and sim cards can buy from a vending machine. The mobieltjesautomaat would be the first in Europe and stands for a period of three months at amsterdam airport Schiphol.

Vending machines with mobile phones and sim cards are not at all unique; in countries outside of Europe it is not uncommon for cases of this type are available from a vending machine, which in the Netherlands, matters such as candy or soft drinks sit. The mobile phones vary in price from 15 to 230 euro.

In the vending machines are not just individual mobile phones available, but also subscriptions with the device and sim-only from Vodafone-daughter HollandsNieuwe can from the wall to be drawn.
