HP introduces new thin clients

HP has two thin clients, the HP t510 and t610, announced. The clients get a dualcore processor, the VIA Eden-type, respectively, from the AMD G-series. The prices for the t510 start at 259 $ for the t610 at 399 dollars.

The t610 is the flagship of the two, get an AMD apu from the G-series, with two cores and a clock speed of 1.65 GHz. The integrated gpu can hd-picture display and supports DirectX11. The model has a number of business features, such as a trusted platform module, that provides protection by means of of identification on the connect to a network. “Active Thermal Management” prevents the client from becoming overheated.

The t510 has a very different configuration. He is equipped with a VIA Eden X2 U4200 processor with two cores and a clock speed of 1GHz. The graphical aspects are taken care of by VIA’s ChromotionHD engine, known from the S3’s graphics cards.

Both systems get 2 gigabytes of working memory. The t610 supports Microsoft Windows Embedded, HP ThinPro, Linux and virtualization software, including Citrix and VMWare. The t510 has a starting price of 259 dollars, and the t610 is one of 399 dollars. The systems come in april of this year in America and Europe. The European prices are not yet known.
