AMD introduces new Athlon II X4’s

AMD has two new Athlons, each with four cores on board ge lwa site. The cpu’s are not for the AM3 socket, but fit on the same motherboards as the Llano-apus. The cpu’s are, however, not a gpu.

The Athlon II X4 641 fills the space between the previously released 651 and 631 on: which are, respectively, at 3GHz and 2.6 GHz clocked, while the 641 2.8 GHz tap. The four cores on 32nm fried and have the K10 architecture on board. Each core has 1MB L2 cache and the cpu has a standard tdp of 100W. The processor would officially 81 dollar cost.

The AMD Athlon II X4 638 is also a quadcore and gelijkgeprijsd, but is of a lower tdp: the 638 would be a maximum of 65W hid. The cpu is like the other Athlon with 4MB L2 cache and built using the K10-architecture. Both Athlons are suitable for the FM1 socket, which also includes the Llano-apus inserted can be. Owners of an AM3 board or motherboard with similar socket can the cpu not to use.

In the run-up to the introduction of the Llano’s, there was talk of that the AMD Athlon and Phenom series would be phasing out. That seems to be mainly on the processors for the AM3 socket to apply: the company has introduced several Athlons for the FM1 socket. Other than the Athlons for the AM3 socket on 45nm to be produced, the FM1 socket Athlons according to a 32nm process.
