AMD brings business FirePro V3900 from

AMD has a new one in his line of business FirePro graphics cards released. The FirePro V3900 is positioned in the instapsegment and is based on the Turks gpu, AMD also used in the HD6000 and HD7000-series.

The V3900 follows the V3800 and is on paper a lot faster. In place of the Redwood gpu to use AMD now the Turks gpu with 480 stream processors, which previously was used in the HD6000 graphics cards and more recently in the middle of the HD7000-line. The ram has doubled from 512MB to 1GB and the bus is 128bits twice as wide. All of that makes that the maximum computing power is increased from 520 to 624gflops.

The new card can handle OpenGL 4.2, OpenCL 1.1 and DirectX 11. He is also certified for use with a number of professional modelleerpakketten, including AutoCAD, Solidworks and 3D Studio Max. Monitors can be connected via a dvi – or displayport-connector, and through the latter may be up to five screens at the same time be controlled. The V3900 is given a suggested retail price of 119 dollars and will, among others, by HP workstations are built in.
