Seagate makes the GoFlex Thunderbolt adapter is available

Seagate has a Thunderbolt adapter for the GoFlex drives to its product range added. This can GoFlex storage devices via the high-speed Thunderbolt interface to be connected to a MacBook or iMac.

According to Seagate, the Thunderbolt-interface with a maximum theoretical throughput of 10Gbps twintigmaal faster than a usb 2.0 interface, and twice faster than the more current usb 3.0 standard, but the actual throughput is ultimately determined by the storage device that the adapter is associated.
