Webmailaanbieders work on antiphishingstandaard

A number of large webmailaanbieders, including Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, with Facebook, PayPal, and parties from the financial lwa le world entered into a collaboration to a antiphishingstandaard to come.

In total fifteen companies will collaborate in the organization Dmarc, which stands for Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance. Dmarc is a verification system in which, among other webmailaanbieders can check whether an e-mail is actually a company and not a party phishing personal data trying to figure out.

In addition to some major webmailaanbieders, such as Google’s Gmail and Microsoft’s Hotmail, have now also AOL, Bank of America, Fidelity Investments, American Greetings, LinkedIn, and Facebook at the Dmarc working group is connected. The organization is already longer busy with the preparation and implementation of the Dmarc standard. So blocks PayPal daily all two hundred thousand phishing emails by working with Gmail and Yahoo Mail.
