Prototypes of new Canon EOS dslr and telephoto lenses spotted

On a photo safari in Kenya is reportedly a new Canon EOS-dslr spotted. In addition to the new body were during the safari are also prototypes of the new 600mm-supertelelens and the 200-400mm lens with built-in teleconverter is used.

Stephen Oachs at his Aperture Academy blog photos posted of the Japanese with the supposed new EOS-dslr and new lenses in Kenya to the shooting. From a conversation with the person proved that he was Canon and that he is currently the new 200-400mm lens with built-in teleconverter and 600mm f/4-supertelelens tested. The first would be in march or april be released.

Also photographed the Japanese Canon employee with a yet unknown body, as evidenced by the photos in Aperture Academy. This EOS-dslr-prototype has the most elements in common with the EOS 7D, but there is also a number of differences to discover. So is the ” Q ” button at the top left of the EOS 7D, apparently, to right-shifted, and is the place occupied by the ‘menu’button. Also seems the eye under the joystick replaced by a yet unknown button.

In addition, under the body, a grip with a joystick attached, while the original EOS 7D who has not. Nor can we a pivot point of a flip-up flash, discern, and we must conclude that the new EOS-dslr-prototype that also has not, this is in contrast to the current EOS 7D.

The missing flash points because of the better opportunities for weathersealing rather to a successor of the current EOS 5D Mark II. This also has no built-in flash and the battery grip this also has no joystick. Also, the EOS 5D Mark II is often used for landscape photography. In the past there has been some criticism on the moisture – and stofvastheid of the EOS 5D Mark II.

According to Oachs, the photos that he has taken, not edited, and he has one of the original raw files online to his claims.
