Thermaltake announces Frio Extreme cpu cooler

Koelerfabrikant Thermaltake has a new cpu cooler released in Frio series. The Frio Extreme weighs 1,23 kg and is equipped with two fans 140mm. This means that the cooler up to 250W of heat dissipation.

Thermaltake dropped the Frio Extreme more than half a year ago already seen at the Computex fair in Taipei, but the cooler is not really on the market. The Frio Extreme is composed of two cooling towers, each equipped with a 140mm fan. By means of a pwm controller, the speed of the fans vary from 1200 to 1800rpm. In that last case it would be the whole 39dBa of noise.

The cooling towers are via six copper heatpipes with a diameter of 6mm, also copper base connected. The total weight 1,23 kg, would 50,000 hours to last and can hold up to 250W of heat dissipation. The cooler comes with different backplates, which he on all current sockets from AMD and Intel mounting.
