Users with a new tool their own version of CyanogenMod, a popular custom rom for Android, build. With the software it is possible to have features or add unwanted features to remove.
The tool is in alpha-status released, so the functionality is quite limited: it is possible to have languages, and wallpapers and to remove certain themes to add. In the future the functionality will be extended, where possible, to applications to add or remove. Users can use the device to select where the rom is want to use, then this is compiled.
Work is currently underway on version 9 of the custom rom. This release is based on Android Ice Cream Sandwich, but is not yet available for all devices available which are normally supported. CM9 will get a number of new features: here is a new launcher worked that the name Trebuchet bears. With the custom launcher can the search bar be removed, and the number of home screens is adjustable. Also, an alternative music player application worked.
