Sale PlayStation Vita drops dramatically in second week

Of the PlayStation Vita in the second week after launch but 72.479 copies sold, a decrease of a whopping 81 percent compared to the lanceerweek, when Sony 397.338 copies of the handheld managed to sell.

The sales of PlayStation Vita’s in the crucial week before christmas, according to Gamasutra even historically low for a new console so soon after launch. The PS Vita was recently in Japan; the rest of the world follows later.

The verkoopdaling would not result from a limited stock, since there are initially a half-million PS Vita’s in stock. Also the sales of the Nintendo 3DS fell in the second week after introduction, but the decline was for the Nintendo handheld at the time, something less than 45 percent.

The Nintendo 3DS experienced in Japan over the past week are correct, best sale ever. So were 482.200 copies of the gamehandheld with 3d screens were sold, compared to 367.691 pieces a week earlier. The increase is attributed to the relatively low price of the handheld and the recent releases of Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 and Capcoms Monster Hunter 3G.

Even the PlayStation 3 and the PSP sold in the week before christmas in Japan is better than the PlayStation Vita. Of the PlayStation 3 were 75.943 units sold, while the PSP 101.121 copies were sold. The Wii did it in the land of the rising sun with 91.176 of copies sold is still good, while the 4.245-selling Xbox 360’s to prove that the with that console in Japan still do not want rafts.
