Lenovo is coming in 2012 with Windows Phone device

Lenovo has indicated that the next year a smartphone with Windows Phone will be released. Most details are still missing, but the unit would be based on the LePhone series smartphones running Android.

That made the manufacturer well known during a presentation in China. It is still unknown where Lenovo on the phone wants to release; many of its products are intended for the Chinese market. Also on the specifications, nothing is known. Because the device only for the second half of 2012 on the planning, it is possible that the specifications have not yet been determined.

The Chinese manufacturer has for mobile devices some time ago going to focus on Android. That is now also available for Windows Phone being chosen is good news for Microsoft, which is still only a small market share with its mobile operating system.

Lenovo expanded recently its LePhone-series with a number of Android devices. The LePhone S2 features a 3.8″display and Qualcomms MSM8255 processor at a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. Also announced by the manufacturer, the LePhone S760, which is about a 3.7″screen and a 1GHz processor. Finally, Lenovo is the LePhone K2, which is based on the tweekernige Qualcomm MSM8260 processor with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz.

There are also new tablets, but the new Android products only appear to be in China to be released. Or that the Windows Phone device, and is therefore not yet known.
