ARM brings free toolkit for Android developers

– Up chip designer ARM has a community edition of its ontwikkelaarstoolkit DS-5 released. The free software developers of Android applications to assist in the writing of native applications in C and C++.

The Community Edition of DS-5 is a supplement to the existing sdk and ndk of Android, says ARM. The toolkit allows itself to integrate into the Eclipse development environment used for application development on Android and offers several tools that should help optimize native code. The majority of the Android applications written in Java, but it is also possible to use C and C++ to work for more performance.

The free version of the DS-5 toolkit provides, among other things, a new graphical debugger and Streamline Performance Analyzer, which should help to find out problem areas in the code. The tool is free to download for companies that are less than $ 100,000 per year to convert, and less than 10 employees.
