Nokia Siemens Networks was forced to lay off worldwide, 17,000 jobs

Nokia Siemens is worldwide and 17,000 jobs. That equates to almost a quarter of the total number of employees. With the measure, hopes the joint venture better competition and ultimately save money.

Nokia Siemens Networks says in addition to significantly going to cut down the number of suppliers, as stated in a statement. Ultimately, the savings expected in 2013, one billion euros have been completed.

The joint venture will say even more focus on the efficiency of mobile broadband and subsequent services. “We want to be the undisputed world leader in that field. Nokia and Siemens added their netwerkafdelingen in 2006 to form a joint venture. Currently, the established in Finland, Nokia Siemens Networks 74.000 employees in 150 countries.
