HP is in second place with tabletverkopen in USA

HP is currently in the US the number two when it comes to tabletverkopen. The company only need to Apple for them to tolerate. This is remarkable since the company has indicated no tablets more to develop with its own webOS.

That is according to figures from the Us market researcher NPD. The bureau examined the market shares of several large manufacturers in the tablet market, with the exception of Apple. Of those companies turns out HP has the largest share with 17 percent. This keeps the big players like Samsung and Asus, respectively, 16 and 10 percent of the tabletverkopen in the US for their account names.

The popularity of HP’s TouchPad tablet is probably due to the tremendous price reduction that the manufacturer this summer, will revert. Less than two months after the introduction of the tablet was the price reduced from 499 to $ 99. This created a huge demand so the company decided to have one last batch of the devices to produce. Reason for the price reduction were disappointing sales of HP’s first tablet.

The company allowed for the implementation of the price reduction knowing that it is not tablets and phones more from going with webOS. HP had webOS in the hands when the beginning of 2010 phone manufacturer Palm took over for 1.2 billion dollars. Initially would be in addition to the 9,7″touch Pad also have a 7″model to come out. However, that is never happened.
