OpenSUSE Project releases openSUSE 12.1 from

The developers of OpenSUSE have Wednesday version 12.1 of their eponymous linux distribution released. The most important changes are Gnome 3.2 and the introduction of Googles programming language Go.

In the new release of OpenSUSE, which is one of the largest distributions, many packages come with an update. One of the biggest innovations is the desktop environment Gnome 3.2, among other things, better integration with cloud services and support for touch screens, promises.

In OpenSUSE 12.1 is of the standaarddesktopomgeving KDE version 4.7 included. One of the changes is KolorManager, a tool that allows the color palette of KDE can be adapted. Another innovation is the replacement of the package manager is KPackagekit by Apper. OpenSUSE has Firefox 7 and the KDE office suite Calligra Suite.
