Techbedrijf Burton has lasers ge lwa site which luminous points at each location in the air or under water can be shown. It is reportedly the first time that lasers such advanced images without a projection screen.
By the laser light to combine, the researchers managed to the molecules in the focal length of the lens used in a plasma state and thus a luminous point in the free space. Although plasma has a temperature of thousands of degrees, it breaks down there is no fire; the bright spots have a lifetime of about a nanosecond.
The system of Burton, in 2006, it was announced by Japan’s Advanced Industrial Science and Technology institute, and the Keio University, currently fifty thousand dots show on ten to fifteen frames per second. The images are so choppy, but the Japanese company aims, in the short term lasers that thirty frames per second can handle.
The researchers show in a demonstration green lasers to see that from a tank filled with water to the top to shine. According to Burton, it is the first time that such advanced 3d-images without a screen will be displayed; in most cases it is, for example, optical illusion needed to achieve the same result. According to the Japanese scientists can use the rgb combination of lasers – red, green, and blue – colored images are displayed. “The technique is especially useful for digital signs. It can also be used for the observation of 3d objects, and, as it is more precise, in health care,” says Burton.
