Netgear comes with two new ReadyNAS systems

Netgear has for the consumer market two new ReadyNas systems announced. The ReadyNAS Duo v2 and ReadyNAS NV+ v2 would be up to twice faster than the previous generation, claims Netgear.

The ReadyNAS Duo v2, which has two hot-swappable drive bays for 3.5″ sata drives, and the ReadyNAS NV+ v2, with four drive bays, each have a singlecore 1.6 GHz Marvell processor and 256MB ram. Netgear claims that the read and write performance of up to twice higher than that of the previous generation, ReadyNas systems; read and write speeds of, respectively, 96 and 60MBps would be feasible. In addition to a gigabit ethernet connection, each of the two nas systems now, each with three usb 3.0 connectors.

Netgear has its browser interface, RAIDiator 5, updated. According to the manufacturer, a user can eight steps for using the wizard is nas system is configured.
