The Ministry of Economic Affairs has 800,000 euros stopped in the development of a so-called Cyber Attack Detector. The project should companies give the option to discover or their ict-network is under attack.
The Cyber Attack Detector (CAD project should offer an opportunity for early detection of a cyberspionageaanval. The researchers use the observation that such an attack can be hard patterns to follow: users trick, system contaminate, collect data, and without permission from the system and networks for the smuggling of the data.
“The CAD explains tripwires for each step. Each characteristic itself need not be a sign of a digital attack, but the combination of characteristic features can be”, according to TNO and Fox-It, the parties who develop the system. The organizations expect that the development for two years.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation has the project supported with a grant of 800,000 euros. The amount comes from the geldpot that falls under the scheme Innovation for Societal Security. The total amount to distribute, was 23 million euros. Organizations that have products or services which public security organisations, their service can improve, are eligible for the grant.
