Dutch gamestudio working with Jane Jensen on Cognition

The Dutch developer Khaeon Gamestudio is working on detectivegame Cognition. Writer Jane Jensen, known for the Gabriel Knight-games, helping with the story and the graphics team is under the leadership of Romano Molenaar.

Cognition is a project by Phoenix Online Studios. The small American studio has, however, not enough people in house to make the thriller Cognition to develop, and therefore the assistance sought from the Dutch Khaeon Gamestudios. Writer Jane Jensen has been asked to think about the story for the detectivegame. Jensen is best known for the Gabriel Knight-games that Sierra On-Line in the previous century put on the market.

The story of Cognition revolves around Erica Reed, a FBI agent from Boston, who since the murder of her brother strange gifts. If they touch an object, she may be the past of the object. That gift must help her to solve murders. The outer side of the game is provided by Khaeon, comic book artist Romano Molenaar is responsible for the style of the game. Phoenix Online is looking forward to development to be able to pay through sponsorship. Who wants to, can make a contribution via the Kickstarter program.

Khaeon is especially known for his debuutgame Alpha Black Zero, that in 2004 the market was brought by the then newly started Playlogic. From Khaeon is developer Spellborn International, set up a separate SA which was created for the development of mmog The Chronicles of Spellborn. The development of the mmog ran, however, the necessary delay. The game was released in late 2008 on the market, but due to lack of success had to Spellborn NV in mid-2009, the doors close. Khaeon fell outside the bankruptcy and focused on the development of games for mobile phones. Romano Molenaar was also responsible for the striking graphical style of The Chronicles of Spellborn.
