Skype stops to bundle Google software

Who Skype install, no longer have the option to have the Google Toolbar or the Chrome web browser to install. Skype has stopped bundling of this software, probably as a result of the acquisition by Microsoft.

In the releasenotes of the latest Skype release can be read that the combination of Google software, with the Skype installer has been removed. Users who have Skype installed, got the option for the Google Toolbar to install, but that option has now disappeared.

Skype has no reason for the decision given, but probably is the acquisition by Microsoft the following. Microsoft announced in may that Skype wanted to take over; meanwhile, both the European and American authorities, the acquisition was approved.

Furthermore, in the latest Skype release, two bugs squashed, including an error which resulted in Skype sometimes crashed on Windows 8. It is also an error with the handling of the internal memory in the Skype-plug-in for Firefox solved.
