One of the founders of The Pirate Bay, Gottfrid Svartholm, has been in absentia sentenced to a fine of 1.1 million dollars and a prison sentence of one year. The Swede would have been found guilty of piracy.
In november last year, a number of the founders of The Pirate Bay by a Swedish court sentenced for violating copyright. Svartholm, The Pirate Bay operates under the alias Anakata, however, was not condemned because he is due to medical reasons was not present.
Meanwhile, the Swedish court Svartholm is still in absentia to one year in prison and a million dollar fine, reported TorrentFreak. Svartholm would be currently in Cambodia.
