Microsoft has developer Twisted Pixel bought. The studio, which in september Kinect game The Gunstringer executed, becomes a part of Microsoft Studios. The studio was for years the only games for the console of Microsoft.
With the purchase of Twisted Pixel, Microsoft is officially in practice for quite some time the case; the Texan studio makes only games for the console of Microsoft. The purchase follows on the release of The Gunstringer in september by Twisted Pixel delivered. The game is a shooting game that can be controlled with Kinect. This is a major release for Microsoft, because a lot of gamers questioned whether it is possible to make a shooting game with Kinect to control it. The Gunstringer will need to prove the opposite. Twisted Pixel was more likely to XBLA-games like Splosion Man and Comic Jumper.
Twisted Pixel has been in existence since 2006 and made his debut with The Maw, not only for the Xbox 360 appeared, but also for the pc. The next four games, which the studio delivered, however, were all exclusive to the Xbox 360.
