UEFA EURO 2016
“A fair result”
Rien ne va plus – nothing goes anymore for the world champion at these Championships. The world’s best goalkeeper is unhappy with the result. An Ex-captain says the defeat is deserved. And the team Manager is unhappy reactions.
DFB German national coach Joachim Löw:
“All of them are terribly disappointed that we are excreted. We played a really good tournament with a lot of passion. We have made a class game and clearly dominated. We played with energy, with courage, with confidence and with great strength. But we have made no goal. I can’t make a charge.”
DFB-player Thomas Müller:
“In the overall analysis, we have presented the German football well. But football is also a success of the sport. And if you’re knocked out in the semi-finals before is not so crucial. It comes to win titles remain in memory,.”
DFB-team Manager Oliver Bierhoff
“I’m stunned, unhappy – actually, we should have been out of the game interests of the game to win. This is of course annoying. One had the impression, somehow, the Ball should go in today. Then you have to accept as a defeat. Maybe has been missing finally, a little bit of the force.”
DFB player Toni Kroos:
“I think we made the best game in the EM, even if it sounds stupid after a defeat. The is bitter. We had good facilities and is superbly played football. I want to win the title, and we didn’t make it today.”
The DFB goalkeeper Manuel Neuer:
“Losing the semi-final of an EM, is always bitter. And 0:2 after this game is of course not a fair result. We had the opportunity to come after the 0:1 back in the game. Like France in the first half, has occurred, it has not seen much. With the 1:0 in the back it has played easier for you. Overall: We have played a good EM but we are excreted. This is bitter.”
DFB-captain Bastian Schweinsteiger:
“We had good chances, but the Ball did not want to clean. We are very disappointed that we are now eliminated, in spite of a good performance.”
Ex-DFB-captain Michael Ballack:
“France deserved the victory total. You played a great match. You have been waiting for and Germany, and this works very well with a fantastic Griezmann, with a fantastic Pogba, Payet – all in all: highly deserves.”
France Coach Didier Deschamps:
“My players deserve it. It was very difficult for you. We played against a great team that has brought an enormous quality to the space. Germany is the best team in the world, but we have Packed them today. Also thanks to the great support from the stands. The people stood as one man behind us. They were beside themselves and will be excited to the final on Sunday.”
In France, Double-Scorer Antoine Griezmann:
“This was a team effort. We were a closed unit and are earned in the final. Tonight we will celebrate and enjoy it. Of course, we want to
also the final win.”
