In 2010, I have this Mushkin 8GB (2x4GB) DDR2 PC2-6400 5-5-5-18 Silverline (996762) kit purchased for lwa 89 for the Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) TWIN2X4096-8500C5D Dominator kit on my Asus P5QL-CM motherboard to replace. Since my Mini-ATX motherboard, only two memory slots, my expansion options are limited.

In addition, it showed PC2-8500 (DDR2-1066) not to exist in modulengroottes of 4GB and higher. So I was automatically designated at the slower PC2-6400 (DDR2-800) memory. Other than in synthetic benchmarks, this was a difference in performance, however, is not noticeable.
The memory is running already more than 5 years, stable with a slight overclock and stock/SPD timings. Nevertheless this at the time, virtually the only upgrade path was (on a similar kit of G. Skill after), I am very pleased with this memory.
