Foreign. Traces of shrapnel damage lead several experts to believe that the plane that crashed in Kazakhstan on Christmas Day was shot down. The plane is said to have lost hydraulic fluid, which means that the rudder and wing flaps cannot be controlled as usual.

Previously, several experts have accused Russia of having shot the plane.
The plane was on its way to the city of Grozny in the Russian republic of Chechnya, where rebels had previously fought against Moscow, when it crashed. At least 38 people died.
According to Russian explanations, the plane was hit by a bird, which does not explain how it lost its control.
A Swedish expert tells TT that the holes in the fuselage cannot be explained by a bird.
– The holes in the fuselage are bent inwards, meaning the metal is twisted inwards, meaning the impact itself comes from outside. There is not a woodpecker in the whole world big enough to peck such holes, Jan Ohlsson tells TT.
The fact that there are many and small holes indicates that they were caused by an air defense missile, according to him. Such missiles spread a “hailstorm” of steel balls that penetrate the fuselage.
