Foreign. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan assesses that there are currently only two leaders worth the name left in the world: himself and Russian President Vladimir Putin, writes Russian Tass.

– Now there are only two real leaders in the world. It's me and Vladimir Putin, Erdogan says and adds:
– I'm not saying this just because I'm one of them, but because I've been in power for 22 years, almost as long as Putin . Everyone else has left the stage.
The Turk says he wants the dialogue with Russia to continue and for his own part believes that it is important to continue in Turkish politics.
Erdogan also states that Germany effectively “ceased” as a political actor when Chancellor Angela Merkel resigned.
Another German leader that Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed respect for is the country's former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder.
– Hans respect for us was something very special, and he was really a good leader. During Ramadan he did not drink beer at our table. He showed respect. Our dialogue with Schröder continues today, and he visits Turkey regularly, says Erdogan.
