Israeli Defense Minister Katz says during a press conference:
– Prime Minister Netanyahu and I have instructed the Israeli military to take control of the buffer zone and strategic checkpoints to ensure the protection of all Israeli communities on The Golan Heights.
The so-called buffer zone in Syria has divided the countries since their last full-scale war in 1973.
There are reports that the IDF has occupied the Syrian post on Mount Hermon, according to Reuters.< /p>
