Foreign. A new poll published by the French radio giant Europe 1 shows that 53 percent of French women and 44 percent of men want to stop all immigration – both legal and illegal – without exception. This means that not a single immigrant would be allowed to enter France if the country's women were allowed to decide.

The survey shows that young women, who are often considered the most affected by mass immigration and related sex crime, are rapidly turning towards the idea of open borders.
Among private sector employees and white-collar workers, 45 percent want to stop immigration completely.
The new the figures are a record high and represent an increase of 7 percentage points among both sexes compared to the same survey from October 2021, when 41 percent favored zero immigration.
The highest percentage advocating zero immigration is found among 18-24-year-olds, where 55 percent support a total stop.
The lowest support is found among people over 65, so-called baby boomers, where 54 percent are against a stop to immigration.
Among 25-34-year-olds, 49 percent are in favor of zero immigration, 35-49-year-olds are at 48 percent, and among 50-64-year-olds 51 percent are in favor.
“Saved” by boomers
In the last election, President Emmanuel Macron was saved from defeat by the baby boomer generation, who overwhelmingly voted for the pro-immigration president.
Marine Le Pen, who runs a cautiously anti-immigration line, however, exceeded expectations among young voters despite the fact that she has not promised any major changes in the area of immigration.
Today she is the most popular candidate in the country, and if elections were held now she would probably become France's new president.
However, she risks being excluded from politics due to an ongoing legal process, something that has been criticized as a threat to democracy.
The survey also shows that 82 percent of National Assembly voters support zero immigration, while only 21 percent of left-wing voters (the Socialists, the Greens and the Liberals) do.
In total, however, 51 percent of the French surveyed are of both sexes against zero immigration, while 1 percent are unsure.
However, other surveys have shown that over 70 percent of the French support strict immigration rules, although not exactly zero immigration.
