The Environment Party's climate policy spokesperson, Elin Söderberg, suddenly announced her resignation following accusations about inappropriate behavior during a wet after-party.

The incident must have occurred in connection with the party's municipal and regional days in Borås on 16–17 November.

According to information given to Aftonbladet, Söderberg allegedly made both physical and verbal advances towards a person from the youth association Grön ungdom, despite the fact that he refused.

– Elin got too drunk and was way too close and on, despite being told off, says an anonymous source to the newspaper.

It is unclear if the incident has been reported to the police.

Elin Söderberg, who was previously a strong advocate for The Metoo movement and feminism, have expressed on their social media their commitment to gender equality and the importance of structural change after all the revelations about alleged sexual abuse. This is reported by Samnytt.

In a campaign video uploaded to Youtube, she talks about how “the power of #metoo must live on and lead to political reforms for gender equality”.
