Domestic. The Riksdag flag flew at half-mast on Tuesday, in memory of the recently deceased Riksdag member Lars Wistedt (SD).

Lars Wistedt, elected for Uppsala county and vice chairman of the defense committee, died according to the Riksdag during a business trip with the NATO delegation in Montreal, Canada, on the night of Monday local time.
In an internal email to The SD's parliamentary group, which Aftonbladet was given access to, describes the SD's group leader Linda Lindberg details of the incident:
“Lars was found quietly deceased in his bed last night, Canadian time. Aron Emilsson who is on the same journey, they had a great last few days together. Lars was happy and there were no signs of illness. It is with an extremely heavy heart that I inform you all of this. Lars was a rock, a great one friend and a very competent colleague. He will be greatly missed and he leaves a big void behind him.” the Riksdag's delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
The Speaker of the Riksdag Andreas Norlén expresses sadness at the announcement:
– Lars Wistedt was a committed, knowledgeable and valued member. My thoughts go out to his relatives, friends and colleagues, he says in a statement.
Wistedt had a background as an officer and security manager in business before starting his political career. He was also involved in local politics in Enköping.
Lars Wistedt turned 60.
