Älvdalsskolan in Dalarna has during the autumn been shaken by violent fights between students – and films of the fights has been spread via social media such as Telegram.
The fights have been characterized by racist elements, with students calling each other racist epithets, states the school's principal Ninni Hjortvall.
– It is dark children against light children, that's what's consistent in the films we've received, she tells Expressen.
Hawks have also been carved into the school's playground and inside the school's premises.
The events have been reported to the police, but as the students involved are between ten and twelve years old, no criminal investigations can be initiated. The school is now cooperating with social services and the police to deal with the situation.
– You just want it to end, says Ninni Hjortvall, who has never experienced anything like this in her career, to Expressen.
Incidents have decreased in recent weeks, however, and parents have expressed gratitude that the issue is now being noticed.
