Fria Tider reported earlier today how Paulina Brandberg is terrified of bananas and forces everyone to remove the slightest trace of the fruit when she visits various places.

In these contexts, her co-worker incorrectly states that she has a “strong allergy” to bananas.

During a UN meeting in New York, Jessica Smaaland, president of the association FQ – Forum for Women and Disabilities, was affected by the Minister for Equality's strong phobia, reports Expressen.

Prior to Paulina Brandberg's arrival at the meeting on the 46th floor of the skyscraper One Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza, signs with crossed bananas had been placed up.

Jessica Smaaland, who brought a banana to eat, was told by one of the Prime Minister's employees that the banana was not allowed to remain in the room. This resulted in Smaaland's assistant having to go down 46 floors to throw away the fruit.

– I depend on having an assistant because you never know when things will come up. So I always have them within earshot really, says Jessica Smaaland to Expressen.

More women come forward
After the articles about Paulina Brandberg, another top female politician, Teresa Carvalho (S), came forward and told me that she also suffers from fear of bananas.
