Salary increase again for politicians in the Riksdag

Domestic. Members of the Riksdag's monthly remuneration will be increased by SEK 3,000 and will from the turn of the year amount to SEK 78,500, the Riksdag announces.

The decision, made by the Riksdag remuneration board, is justified by the fact that the increase follows the wage agreements that apply in the labor market during the current agreement period.

For members with special assignments, such as chairman and vice chairman positions in committees, are charged additional fees. The chairman receives a supplement of 20 percent, while the vice chairman receives a supplement of 15 percent.

The increase is a continuation of previous increases. As recently as last year, the fee was increased by SEK 2,500 – which was also the case the year before.
