The number of confirmed cases of monkeypox in Africa is almost 50,000 during the year, and more than 1,000 people have died in the wake of the disease.
The most affected countries include the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi and Uganda.
The planned meeting will be an important step in determining how to deal with the disease globally going forward and whether it will continue to maintain its status as an international health crisis.
